Minister Mabula lauds AMDT for promoting women and youth land rights

AMDT facilitated a sector-focused Public Private Dialogue to reflect on the issue of land acquisition and ownership for women and youth in agri-production. The event was held in Dodoma and graced by the Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements, Hon. Dr. Angeline Mabula and attended by representatives of smallholder farmers, agribusiness entrepreneur and other stakeholders.

The event provided a platform for keynotes talks, discussions and testimonials on issues of land acquisition and ownership for women and youth in agriculture. This was a one-day event coordinated by Gender and Youth Inclusion component at AMDT.

In her speech, Hon Mabula had the opportunity to respond to various policy issues regarding the event theme. She also called on AMDT to include more relevant stakeholders in the discussions about land, including the Ministry of Agriculture.
